From the outside the institution “Bakkevej” looks like any other public Danish institution. But for the children there it is home. “Elvaerket” which is a part of the institution targets the teenagers. Here the staffs try to talk with orphans about some of the things they have been through. And also to give them tools so the can live on their own when the turn 18.

Alex has been living at “Bakkevej” the most part of his childhood. Soon he is turning 18 years old and have to face the challenges of being an adult.

He decided long ago he didn’t wanted to end up like his parents.

It happened because he didn’t got up to go to school.

In the end she gives her permission over the phone.

But not to long ago it was to tempting and he smoked again. He was really disappointed with himself. He knows he has to stop to get his life together.
